Microfinance Savings Coordinator, Philippines

About the Job: 
Habitat for Humanity International is seeking a Microfinance Savings Coordinator to be based out of its Asia/Pacific area office located in Manila. S/he will provide technical support and oversight of a grant to pilot and study commitment savings for home improvement for an exciting new microsavings program in several key selected countries.
Tasks and Responsibilities: 
  • Support the identification of pilot project locations for implementation and roll-out;
  • Vet potential partner savings institutions, negotiate and finalize agreements;
  • Educate local partners on market research and product development;
  • Provide support to national organizations to develop financial education and housing support service offerings;
  • Partner with national organizations to launch new products.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor degree in Economics, Business, Finance, and International Development focus a major plus;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in housing finance, microfinance or similar disciplines;
  • Demonstrate significant experience developing/managing savings products;
  • Experience in the housing arena;
  • Exhibit fluency in both written and spoken English.
