An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the National School of Healthcare Science as Education and Assessment Lead.
Hosted by the West Midlands Multi Professional Workforce Deanery, the National School of Healthcare Science works with education providers and NHS organisations across the UK to oversee the implementation of the new training programmes developed for scientists at all levels under Modernising Scientific Careers
The Education and Assessment lead will be a senior post responsible for the development and delivery of an education and assessment strategy that will underpin all of the modernised training programmes including career framework 2 – 4, PTP, STP and HSST to ensure a national standardised assessment programme for healthcare scientists.
The post holder will work at a high level to lead, influence and shape the development and implementation of the assessment strategy to ensure it can be embedded within all healthcare science training programmes across the NHS.
Ideally the post holder should have a background in education, training and assessment with knowledge and understanding of modernised scientific training programmes. They must be able to bring the enthusiasm, drive and commitment required to ensure successful implementation and ongoing review.
The School is based in Birmingham but there will be a requirement to travel nationally so the post holder should expect to work flexibly as required.
The post is offered as a permanent contract or as a secondment opportunity. Job share will be considered for the right applicant(s) if applicable.
