Private Sector Financial Institution Program Officer- Santiago, Chile

1. Institution: WWF in a partnership with Rabobank

2. Position Title:

Private Sector Financial Institution Program Officer 3. Job Description:

Creating a sustainable future in which we can feed a growing population while at the same time protecting our natural environment on which we depend, requires innovation and new ways of working with key players such as financial institutions. Stimulating sustainable investments to support responsible production is key if we want to be able to feed 9 billion people in 2050. Towards this end WWF Chile has developed a Private Sector Finance strategy (PSFI) and is looking for a coordinator to implement the strategy.

On other end, Rabobank has entered into a global partnership with WWF that aims to demonstrate how financial institutions can enable their clients to deliver more sustainable private sector development. The global partnership has a focus on a range of food and fibre commodities in countries and regions that are important to both partners. In Chile the main objective of the partnership is the salmon aquaculture sector.

The position of the Finance Sector coordinator is closely linked to this Rabobank-WWF partnership. The main task of the PSFI coordinator is the implementation of the Partnership in Chile. Although since April 2015, the implementation of the Partnership goals in Chile might require a declining dedication in time; this position has a longer projection within WWF in Chile.
