Come and join The Fred Hollows Foundation, an Australian international development organisation that is ensuring the vision of Fred Hollows lives on. The Fred Hollows Foundation is working to eradicate avoidable blindness by 2020, and is committed to working with partners to bring about change in eye health systems that is sustainable and reaches even the most vulnerable communities. 
 
Due to the recent success and growth of our Global partnerships team, an exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Project officer to work within our partnerships team to support the development of high quality and sustainable eye health programming through collaborating with our global partners.
 
The main focus of this position will be to draw upon the expertise of our partners, to build and increase the effectiveness of Eye Health programming, sharing lessons learnt, supporting research and advocacy initiative as we look for new ways to engage with global initiatives. In this broad and varied role, you will get the opportunity to work alongside partners, developing critical skills in research, program design, coordination, implementation and monitoring and evaluation.
 
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous experience in a similar position, with a strong academic track record. You will possess outstanding knowledge of research and policy principles along with a genuine passion and commitment to development principals. Your ability to work with substantial independence and initiative, dealing proactively and confidently with a range of people, tasks and situations will be critical to your success in this role. 
 
We are currently recruiting for 2 Project Officers to support the following areas:
  •        Diabetic retinopathy
  •         Partnerships, evaluation and translation.
