Assist the premier humanitarian organisation in the Philippines to accurately capture, assess and report on the outcomes of its work with some of the country’s most vulnerable people.
 
This is a volunteer assignment under the Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) program, an Australian Government, AusAID initiative. Airfares, living allowances, accommodation, insurance and other support is provided through the program.
Background information
Philippine Red Cross has 100 chapters across the nation to help achieve its aim of being ‘always first, always ready and always there’. These chapters deliver a range of disaster management, safety, community health and social services.
 
The chapter development unit in Manila is seeking the support of an Australian volunteer in implementing a consistent approach to monitoring and evaluation across the chapters.
 
The volunteer will support the development of a central monitoring and evaluation system and help design appropriate monitoring systems that capture the outcomes of a range of projects.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Experience in participatory monitoring & evaluation methods
  • Experience in management principles, tools and techniques
  • Qualifications in social sciences, project management or a related field
  • Self awareness, cultural sensitivity, flexibility and adaptability, resilience
 
To be eligible, applicants must be 18 years and over, Australian citizens or permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens with Special Category Visas.
