WWF-Greater Mekong, Ecosystem Based Adaptation Consultant


World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Laos) received a Grant Funding Request (GFR) from the World Bank aimed at supporting government/s in application of Ecosystem based adaptation (EbA) options and developing a case for including EbA in planning for adaptation against Climate Change.
WWF Greater Mekong (WWF GM) is seeking to recruit well-qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the position of Eco-system Based Adaptation Consultant – (6 months)
Eco-system Based Adaptation Consultant – (6 months)
Base location: Champasack Province, Lao PDR

The EbA consultant is responsible for the planning, management and implementation of the EbA research project and the development of the EbA framework in Lao PDR and must ensure compliance with the project documentation and WWF’s contractual obligations.

The Consultant is expected to meet the following requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in conservation, natural resource management, bioregional planning, environmental, or in other relevant fields
• Knowledge of conservation and natural resource management issues in Laos
• Proven understanding of issues in related fields and working knowledge of policy/institutional context in climate change adaptation in Laos.
• Knowledge of the realities of government agencies, development partners, donor institutions, and the not-for-profit sector in the project
• Knowledge of M&E methodology, quality assurance
