Compliance Engineer - Sub Zero Group, Inc.
Work with design engineering teams to develop product compliance specifications for materials, components, markings, labeling, and testing to meet global legal requirements and minimize cost and development time.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive electronic data base of product, material and component information for use in demonstrating compliance and achievement of standards to regulatory authorities.
Collaborate with all relevant departments to develop processes and procedures that meet the current and future environmental compliance regulations and standards, i.e., sustainability.
Schedule and conduct audits and reviews for validating compliance both internally and at our suppliers' and distributors' locations to ensure standards for compliance management are met on an ongoing basis.
Promote continuous improvement and harmonization of existing environmental programs, procedures, and tools to ensure efficient compliance with regulatory requirements.
Become well-versed with all relevant environmental regulations/initiates in terms of requirements (timing, execution, documentation, reporting, auditing, etc.) and participate in EMS (environmental management system) industry groups.
4 year degree in Engineering, or equivalent.
5+ years of related engineering design experience.
Appliance experience is a plus.
Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications, testing systems, Project Management, and some Solidworks experience.
Experience in material composition and RoHS is a plus
