Consultant, Development of Flash cards for WASH for All Schools toolkit

TERMS OF REFERENCE- CONSULTANT, DEVELOPMENT OF FLASH CARDS FOR WASH FOR ALL SCHOOLS TOOLKIT
**Background
WASH for All Schools approach will enable Ministries of Education to full fill every child’s right to access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education in 20 countries with a potential for replication in 95 countries. The WASH for All School approach to WASH in Schools is designed to help all stakeholders focus on what matters most for reaching out to all children with improved hygiene practices. It is built around the idea that expensive school WASH infrastructure or overly complex hygiene education programmes are not necessary to achieve key health, education and equity outcomes. At the core of the approach is the promotion of hygiene behaviour change while ensuring that schools have clean, gender-segregated toilets, and no open defecation. Group hygiene activities reinforce the habit of proper hygiene and sanitation behaviour. The positive power of social norms will be used to strengthen healthy actions. Schools can successfully lay the foundations for life-long hygiene behaviour by creating positive hygiene and sanitation habits as part of the daily school routine.
