Director of Training , ITC - International Training Centre

The Director of Training’s functional responsibilities are:
Strategic leadership and management
She/he will be a member of the management team and, as such, will contribute to achieving the Centre’s mission and objectives in line with the Centre’s Strategic Plan and results-based framework. Working in close collaboration with the Director and other members of the management team, the Director of Training will be expected to ensure the development and the timely delivery of relevant and cost-effective learning and training programmes and products.
She/he will provide strategic advice to the Director on learning policies and practices related to the Centre’s mandate. Specifically, the Director of Training is responsible for:
  •  contributing to the overall strategic direction, coordination and delivery of the Centre’s training programmes and related activities;
  •  coordinating the work of the various technical training programmes;
  •  promoting and coordinating cooperation and joint-programming with ILO headquarters and regions;
  •  analysing trends in training needs and developing policies in training and learningrelated areas;
  •  leading and supporting upstream training and project development;
  •  ensuring provision of high-quality learning products and tools;
  •  ensuring effective and smooth implementation of the annual work plan, including the achievement of financial and other targets;
  •  planning and managing staff and non-staff resources allocated to the training programmes;
  •  formulating proposals for the annual budget preparation and for longer-term investment plans;
  •  drafting and contributing to the preparation of Board and other official documents;
  •  preparing and up-dating financial forecasts;
  •  coordinating the preparation of the pricing policy for training activities;
  •  contributing to resource mobilization efforts.
Partnership and advocacy
The Director of Training will take the lead in developing and building a network of partners and new stakeholders. She/he will assist the Director to reinforce the Centre’s mission and provide strategic guidance on resource mobilization and the development of new financial and  other partnerships.
