Director, Trade and Environment Division

The World Trade Organization (WTO) is seeking to fill two Director level positions: a Chief Economist and Director to lead the Economic Research and Statistics Division (ERSD), as 
well as a Director to lead and direct the activities of the Trade and Environment Division (TED).

The Director, TED, will oversee the work of the Division in respect of the implementation of the relevant WTO Agreements and will provide advice and guidance to Member governments on the effective operation of the Committee on Trade and Environment and the Committee of Technical Barriers to Trade, as well as negotiations in areas of relevance to the Division's competence. He/she will lead and inspire the WTO's Trade and Environment and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) agendas through research studies, and the provision of expert environment and TBT advice, including legal and economic opinions on emerging issues, as well as ensure the preparation of forward looking analytical work for future discussions in the WTO.

Both positions require at least 15 years' experience in senior roles related to international trade and public policy in government or international organizations.
