Human Resources and Administration Manager


The job holder is responsible for providing human resource and administration services, working collaboratively with the management team, to ensure that OUPEA attracts, develops, motivates and retains the talent required to achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities
Strategy
  • Lead and provide thought leadership in the development and implementation of human resource and administration strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve OUPEA’s strategic objectives.
  • Participate in the formulation of company strategy, operating plans, policies, and in key company decisions.
  • Regularly review OUPEA’s organisation structure and provide strategic advice on its appropriateness with regard to effectiveness and efficiency and ensure sufficient staffing to deliver and support the business which includes ensuring optimum establishment.
  • Responsible for HR Planning for the company.
Human resources management
  • Provide HR consulting support to managers.
  • Identify skills gaps and technical abilities within the organisation and coordinate training and development activities.
  • Oversee the coordination of the recruitment and selection process, induction and orientation of new staff and manpower planning and ensure OUPEA attracts and retains qualified and skilled personnel.
  • Drive the performance management process in accordance with the established performance management system.
  • Implement talent management processes including identification of top performers, and succession planning.
  • Accurate management of employee benefits and remuneration.  
Compliance
  • Maintain an awareness of the requirements of employment legislation to ensure that OUPEA complies with all legal requirements and provide sound advice to management.
  • Implement compliant policies and employment documentation.
Facilities Management
  • Manage facilities in the organisation.
  • Ensure health and safety is maintained in the organisation.
Stakeholder Relations
  • Collaborate with senior management team and line managers.
  • Collaborate with service providers.
  • Build strong relationships with UK HR.
Financial Management
  • Forecast annual operational expenses in line with guidelines.
  • Manage costs against approved budget.

Desired Skills & Experience

Academic and professional qualifications
  • A Bachelors degree
  • Post-graduate Diploma in Human Resources
Experience
  • At least three (3) years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager with exposure to facilities management and health & safety.

OUP EA Ltd is seeking to recruit a high calibre, results oriented, experienced and highly skilled professional for the position of Human Resources Manager.

The role
Reporting to the Managing Director and functionally to Group HR in the UK, the Human Resources Manager will have the overall responsibility for the HR function providing human resource and administration services, working collaboratively with other managers, to ensure that OUPEA attracts, develops, motivates and retains the talent required to achieve business objectives.

The person
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resources. The candidate should also possess at least three (3) years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager with exposure to facilities management and health & safety.
