The role
We are currently seeking a Functional Manager to lead our water business in Queensland and the Northern Territory. The role will be based in SMEC's Brisbane office at South Brisbane.
With a minimum of 15 years commercial experience in details, you will play a key role in:
- Effective strategic planning and management of the functional area
- Manage a local business unit and the overall water business in Northern Region
- Achieve sustainable growth of the group through targeted client relationship management and business development activity
- Provide project governance and leadership in the functional area to achieve reliable project performance in terms of sophistication, timeliness and quality
- In collaboration with local management, provide leadership to the employees in the functional group in the local offices as nominated to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development of the employees.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
