European and International Project Management Assistant

POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION
The successful candidate will report to the coordinator of the CTAER International Department.
PROJECT
Participation in the European project EU-SOLARIS, co- funded by European Union
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support to Project Management:
o Monitoring and assessment of the project’s work progress. Analysis and drafting of activity reports.
o Administrative, technical and scientific justifications.
o Contact, guidance and support to the project partners and liaison with other stakeholders (European Commission, country representatives, international experts, etc.).
o Analysis of international and European policies related to research and development.
o Analysis of international and European funding programmes and mechanisms related to research infrastructures.
o Organisation and follow-up of events and internal/external project-related meetings (in English).
o Preparation of additional national and/or international project proposals, e.g. in the framework of Horizon 2020.
o Availability to travel.

QUALIFICATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Bachelor or other official higher education degree.
- Advanced knowledge of computerised office tools (MS Office applications).
- Knowledge of European projects and/or European policy
- Bilingual in English or with a strong oral and written command of the English language.
VALUABLE
- Knowledge of other languages.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge in the field of renewable energy.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience of at least 2 years in project management.
- Experience in developing and supporting European and/or international projects’ planning, management, monitoring and technical reports production.
- Experience in projects with transnational consortia.
- Proven work experience in English.
- Previous experience working in the field of concentrated solar power research is an advantage.
- Knowledge of European and international institutions and funding opportunities is an advantage.
