European Campaign Coordinator on Discrimination – Maternity cover

The Amnesty International European Institutions Office (EIO) has a vacancy for the function of European Campaign Coordinator on Discrimination – Maternity cover (6/7 months)
Main responsibilities
1. Within the context of the overall strategy and in close consultation with the Researcher on discrimination in Europe as well as the campaigning staff in the Amnesty International Secretariat and Amnesty sections in Europe, lead on the development and implementation of regional campaign strategies, projects and activities in the framework of the Amnesty International’s Fight Discrimination in Europe (FDE) campaign.
2. Oversee and coordinate the implementation of the regional campaign strategies, including by advising on and overseeing the development and design of campaign projects, in order to provide an integrated platform of activities by relevant AI participants.
Applicants must have considerable experience and proven aptitude in the following areas:
• Development and implementation of campaign strategies
• Thorough understanding of the main issues of discrimination in Europe
• Experience with the development of campaign activities and materials for different countries
• Sound analysis skills and good political judgment, a service oriented personality and excellent communication skills
• Fluent English, flexibility for travel, and familiarity with Amnesty’s goals and structures
Knowledge of other European languages is an asset.
We offer an attractive remuneration package and an inspiring and exciting work environment. The post is intended for a maternity cover of 6/7months, with a contract under Belgian law. Applicants must have the right to work in Belgium.
