At GE Energy Storage, Industrial Internet encompasses all aspects of how Batteries are made, & how Battery Systems produce / use data. This data enables predictive analytics in our manufacturing plant, performance improvements in the field, & competitive advantage for GE. The Renewable Energy Data Analytics Program Manager will work in a matrixed organization with Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Quality & Reliability and Field Services.
Energy Storage is partnering with the GRC SW CoE to begin building the businesses remote monitoring and diagnostics, performance services, and big data platforms. The Analytics Program Manager will be responsible for successful delivery of analytics programs, technology, and support.In addition you will:

  • Drive Analytics vision for Energy Storage 
  • Be responsible for overall architecture and implementation of Energy Storage analytic platform 
  • Collaborate closely with GRC, GE Software COE and serve as Energy Storages’ point of contact with respect to analytics and software platform 
  • Lead successful delivery of new programs, enhancements, and operational improvements for new and existing analytics and infrastructure 
  • Provide technical input in the design and implementation of analytics 
  • Partner with Energy Storage Product Quality and Reliability team to minimize time required to answer analytics questions 
  • Champion Data Science @ Energy Storage and work across teams to improve our use of data 
  • Use established metrics to prioritize activities, maximizing benefit and reducing time to value 
  • Effectively manage, communicate, and escalate risks (i.e. Resources, Schedule, Quality, Costs) 
  • Manage IT, GDC, CoE, GRC, ETS, and ISS resources to effectively deliver and support solutions, ensuring performance and availability standards are met 
  • Manage project financials including (i.e. invoices, budgets, contracts) 
  • Partner with the Business, IT, and vendors to maintain effective working relationships and ensure best practices are applied throughout project lifecycle 
  • Coordinate program activities, including development and delivery of communications, roadmaps, benchmarks, and metrics 
  • Leverage agile methodologies to improve cycle time, user satisfaction and the quality of deliverables 
  • Understand and evaluate new technology
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the application of information technologies to business solutions) 
  • Minimum of 5 additional years of experience with business systems (business intelligence and/or data warehousing preferred) and their influence on business functions
