AEDES, the European Agency for Development and Health, is a private consulting company specialised in public health. AEDES operates in industrialised, developing and intermediate countries, for private and public organisations. 

AEDES is seeking to employ a dynamic professional to join our Business Development team in Brussels.

The following competences and skills are required:

• A university Degree in Economics or social sciences;
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the field of social development and/or on bids for European Commission or other main Donors’ service contracts;
• Proactive personality, combined with very good diplomacy and assertive skills;
• Business-orientated;
• Very good communication and negotiation skills in English and French are a must. Other proficiencies in Spanish and Portuguese are an advantage;
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• High accuracy and attention to details;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
• Ability to work in multicultural environment/team; 
• Excellent command of MS office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Under the supervision of the Head of the Business Development Unit, the successful candidate will be in charge of a set of challenging tasks, including:

• Following new business opportunities worldwide;
• Identifying expert teams;
• Coordinating, Consolidating expressions, of Interest, tenders and proposals;
• Preparing competitive financial proposals.
