Our Sandvik Future Leader – Global Trainee Program is an 18-month rotation program through which our future leaders are developed. The 18-month program combines three job rotation modules with three learning modules and gives broad international exposure.
In addition to being part of the trainee program, our trainees share high aspirations, a keen interest for different cultures and a desire to become a Sandvik future leader. To be successful in our trainee program you must be eager to learn, hardworking and have a passion to succeed. Our candidates are carefully selected to match our Leadership model and to ensure that they have the right attitude to be able to live our company culture. The right candidates are driven by a desire to make a difference and are offered a world of opportunities.
Key performance areas
You start with an 8-month period in America, where you will gain knowledge about Sandvik in your home market and practical experience of Sandvik's way of doing business. The second trainee period is a five-month period in one of our markets outside your home country. In your final period, which also is five months, you will take part in a strategically important project, either in America or in another part of the Sandvik world.
The program has three learning modules, in which participants will get together to take part in learning programs that will last from five to ten days. These will focus on understanding Sandvik as a global company; our business and leadership as well as our way of working with your career and personal development. You will be assigned a senior Sandvik leader as a mentor during the program and you are employed by Sandvik in America from day one. Where you will be starting your career after the program will be decided through personal development dialogues. Throughout the program, you will receive feedback and evaluation on your performance.The program provides challenging and rewarding opportunities and you will be enabled – and expected – to contribute in an innovative environment. Your career path will be performance driven and you will have the opportunity to work for a company that truly recognizes the importance of professional development.
International travel to India, China and Sweden is included in this program. Candidates must be available to start this program in September 2014 and must be available for assessments during April & May 2014.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a recent Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration, with top results and excellent skills in English, both written and spoken.
As a person you are self-motivated and open to challenges, with the ability to work within a diverse and international work environment. You demonstrate drive and ambition to succeed and have a thirst for knowledge. Further, youare intellectually curious and have a strong track record of achieving, both individually and through others. You also have a high level of emotional intelligence and exceptional communication skills. You are mobile and open to live and work in different parts of the world and you have a passion and enthusiasm about our industry.
