UTZ Certified is one of the largest programs for responsibly produced coffee, tea and cocoa in the world, working across all continents with leading brands and retailers, such as Mars, Ahold, IKEA, D.E Master Blenders 1753, Migros, Tchibo and Nestlé.
UTZ Certified is headquartered in Amsterdam and works closely with its partner network in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Since UTZ Certified is expanding, we are looking to hire a Data Analyst.
You analyze primary data collected through the Good Inside Portal (GIP), the global traceability system for UTZcertified coffee, cocoa and tea. You produce monthly reports on 1st buyer sales and certified volume per commodity. You support the commodity analyst with supply & demand analyses and forecasts per commodity, region and quality, for both internal and external use. The Data Analyst reports to the Manager Monitoring & Evaluation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Certified sales and volume analysis, surveys, reporting and forecasting
· Monthly reporting and analysis
· Supply advice for internal and external clients and management
· Support commodity analyst with supply and demand analyses
· Support the design and creation of policies, processes and systems for effective information management
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
· MSc in relevant discipline, e.g. supply chain management or (development) economics
· 1-3 years of relevant work experience
· Experience with the use of quantitative methods and tools
· Strong affinity with quantitative data and strong in relating/translating them to relevant contexts
· Ability to find and integrate different data sources to produce actionable insights
· Understanding of international trade chains and the various needs and interests of the different actors involved
· Strong interest in sustainability and voluntary standards systems
· Output-oriented with a good eye for detail (in both qualitative and quantitative data)
· Fluency in English
Employment is based upon 32 - 40 hours/week. The position is based in Amsterdam and is open to applicants of all nationalities, however, we can only consider candidates who have, may get or do not need a work and residency permit for the Netherlands.
