Job description:
A large portion of Atlas Copco’s Compressor business in the US is generated through Engineered Products. The Contracts Team is responsible for these projects from the time the order is received until final delivery of equipment and documentation. The Contracts team plays a crucial role in keeping these projects on track and ultimately create customer satisfaction. For this key role within the US customer center organization we are looking for an experienced, customer oriented manager who will be managing a team of 5 to 10 people. The successful candidate should be stress resistant and able to handle large volumes of work in a high speed, high detail environment.Responsibilities include:To manage a team of dedicated Contracts Administrators.To oversee and seek continual improvement in the following activities performed by the Contract Administrators: Order entry, purchasing, expediting, progress billing, coordinating customer inspections and witness tests, submitting drawings, data, manuals, commercial documentation and production schedules per order requirements. Work closely with the Application Engineering group to insure that orders that are assigned to the Contracts group are accurate in deliverables, sell price and cost.Work in conjunction with the Accounting, Engineering, Production and Logistics departments to insure systems are in place that provide a smooth progression for special orders. Keep Contract Administration team informed of new procedures and processes and provide training when required. Maintain through electronic and hard copy files a history of all special equipment orders for a period of 7 years Manage a team of contracts administrators and document control people. Hire and develop people as needed.Perform additional duties as assigned
Mission:
Develop, lead and manage the Contracts Team in Houston.
Experience requirements:
+5 years of relevant industrial experience preferably in the compressed air industry.
Knowledge:
Must be a proven leader. Must be self-directed and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Must have proven business analysis skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Travel required. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Educational requirements:
Bachelor degree in Science (BS) or related discipline, advanced degree (MS/MBA) may be preferred. Technical knowledge in the area of electrical and mechanical design is a strong advantage.
