Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Technical Consultant

Position Summary:

SSG is seeking candidates for an M&E Senior Technical Consultant to lead the development of the M&E Strategy for USAID-funded project proposals. This is expected to be a series of short-term consulting assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of M&E technical activities, such as reviewing reporting methods, carrying out training needs, designing reporting tools and advising on all aspects of M&E for proposals.
• Develop the evaluation methodology design, participatory data collection methods and protocols, data verification techniques, and other analytical tasks conducted under this contract.
• Prepare and draft performance monitoring plans (PMPs) for incorporation into proposals.
• Liaise with technical and cost proposal coordinator(s) to ensure M&E activities and approach are reflected accurately in all aspects of the proposal.
• Ensure the design, quality, development and completion of all assessments, analytical reports and evaluations proposed.

Qualifications:

• An advanced university degree in economics, statistics, political science, public policy, or other relevant field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in indicator development, data collection and analysis, data quality assessments, and/or performance monitoring and reporting.
• Experience working with USAID policies related to evaluation and performance management.
• Strong written and oral communication, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently to tight deadlines.
