The European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers (FEFCO) is a Brussels-based Europe-wide organisation promoting a sustainable and renewable packaging material. FEFCO represents 420 companies which employ around 78,800 people at 686 plants.

Corrugated is a multi-billion euro state-of-the-art industry that protects 75% of European goods in transit. Its environmental credentials are second to none – it is 100% recyclable.

We are looking for a Policy Advisor Packaging Industry to complete our small, international team.

We need qualified full time support to:

  • Monitor and influence European legislation (environment, food contact, sustainability etc.);
  • Execute the Secretariat of the FEFCO Regulatory Affairs Committee and related workgroups;
  • Reconcile European and National objectives/actions;
  • Drive special events (legislation/technical) together with FEFCO team-members;
  • Develop fields further together with our Corrugated industry experts like:
    • Standardisation;
    • Health & Safety information exchange;
    • Quality issues;
    • R&D/Innovation.

    You:

    • Have profound knowledge of legislative processes at European level and experience in lobbying;
    • Understand the specific environment of association work;
    • Offer experience in Corrugated or Paper Industry;
    • Have a customer related attitude; good understanding of industry issues;
    • Are result oriented with a structured approach to working;
    • Have the capacity to interpret complex issues for our members and stakeholders;
    • Like to initiate and drive issues forward/motivate people;
    • Are excellent in communication and networking;
    • Are fluent in English and easy to understand;
    • Know another language;
    • Willing to work with a flexible schedule with overnight travelling.
