Business Controller CIS
The role
The sales area business controller is responsible for providing counsel and support to Sales Area Manager. The role is responsible for monitoring, measuring, and analysing business activities and to conduct continuous follow-up of performance and risk analysis. The business controller (region) is also responsible to follow-up the application and adherence of the Sandvik, Sandvik Mining and Market Area policies and procedures
Key performance areas and responsibilities
  • Participation in planning processes.
  • Provision of management with financial advice and support.
  • Review and analysis of operating results in relation to cost, budgets and operating policies and making recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement with specific attention to variances.
  • Analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information.
  • Budget and business planning process for the Sales Area
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Running Risk Management process
  • Control of Sales Tools compliance
  • Monitoring and control of expenses within the Sales Area
  • Complience with SMC safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
  • Identifying and reports any unsafe work practices.
  • Ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with Company Values and current Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for personal development and enhancement of skills.
Your profile and qualifications
The role will require you to have qualifications and tertiary degree in Finance or Accounting, ideally have at least 3-5 year experience as a business controller within an international company. You also need to demonstrate knowledge of IFS and Russian accounting standards strategic and operational finance experience and good analytical and communication skills. Fluent Russian and English (spoken and written) are a must.
