Applications are invited from a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the following position:

DEVELOPMENT/STOPING SHIFT BOSS
(VARIOUS POSITIONS)
KUSASALETHU MINE

If this is you…


You will need:

  • At least 2 years’ experience as an appointed Shift Boss
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationships
  • Experience in coaching a team
  • A valid medical certificate of fitness for underground duties
  • Grade 10/12 or equivalent educational qualification and fluency in English as communication medium.


You will be required to:

  • Enforce the principles of the MHSA and other relevant legislation, and adhere to the Mine’s policies and procedures
  • Lead and control the mining teams in your area of responsibility
  • Participate actively in monthly, quarterly and annual production planning
  • Achieve production targets safely and cost-effectively
  • Interact and communicate with various stakeholders to coordinate operational functions.
