Engineering Performance Manager

To lead the key engineering agenda in Guinness Ghana and shape strategy in:

  • Safety in all engineering activities

  • The journey to Asset Care excellence

  • Utilities and Energy Management

  • Environmental Management and Performance Improvement

  • Engineering Standards and Systems

  • Engineering Capability Development

Top Accountabilities:
· Progress on the Asset Care Journey as measured by the sites’ AMIS assessment score, plant availability, adherence to plan, planning effectiveness and continuous improvement activity.
· Utilities and Energy Management as measured by production downtime due to utilities issues and the energy usage KPI.
· Environment performance as measured by the 4 environmental performance KPIs and the successful implementation of improvement plans (Growth in engineering talent pipeline in the business, especially in using the Diageo Africa Engineering Leadership Development Program

Qualifications and Experience:
· Degree in mechanical, electrical or maintenance engineering.
· Two years maintenance leadership experience.
· Two years Asset Care leadership experience.
· Project Management experience for major multi-disciplined project execution.
· Extensive and acknowledged expertise in maintenance and operation of packaging line, utilities plants and liquid food processes and including major maintenance interventions and problem solving.
· Training experience and train the trainer qualified.(Preferred).
· Accomplished person manager and coach.
Barriers to Success:
· Lack of influencing capability across the sites.
· Inability to challenge the status quo.
· Inability to translate data into knowledge and move to informed action.
· Focus on volume and not performance

Location:
Accra or Kumasi based with frequent travel between the sites and to Ahinsan and possibly co-packers.
