Since 1971, we have assisted governmental and non-governmental agencies, foundations, and the private sector by designing, implementing and evaluating programs in HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, population and family planning, maternal and child health, infectious diseases, and gender. Futures Group has deep expertise in policy and advocacy, research and strategic information, health markets and private sector engagement, modeling and economic analysis, patient monitoring and management/HMIS, strategic consulting, and program management.

The USAID-funded Health Policy Project (HPP), led by Futures Group, aims to strengthen developing country national and sub-national policy, advocacy, and governance for strategic, equitable, and sustainable health programming. HPP helps build individual and institutional capacity, institutionalize achievements of past investments, and promote country ownership of programs and initiatives through evidence-informed policy and advocacy.

Position Summary

We are looking for outstanding and experienced Reproductive, Maternal, and Newborn Health (RMNH) Services Specialists in Pakistan to work on new and potential programmes in the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Under direction of the Team Leader, design and implement strategies according to programme requirements. • Provide technical and strategic advice pertaining to relevant content areas. • Build technical and institutional capacity of government, private sector, and nongovernmental partners in relevant content areas. • Coordinate and monitor programme activities at the national level and/or in priority regions and districts, as required. • Contribute to the preparation of project technical deliverables, presentations, work plans, and budgets.

Qualifications

• Strong technical grasp of one or more of the following: reproductive health services, maternal and child health, total market approaches, social marketing and other forms of private sector engagement, health systems strengthening, health economics, social development, gender and other social determinants of poor health, especially amongst poorer women and girls, research, health administration, public health, related sectors that affect health, and/or reaching underserved populations; • Demonstrated ability to work constructively with a range of in-country partners, including the government, private sector groups, nongovernmental, faith-based, and community-based organisations and networks in Pakistan, at national and decentralised levels; • Understanding of health market dynamics and the health system in Pakistan; • Knowledge of other regional and/or international best practices; • Experience monitoring and evaluating reproductive health programmes and/or promoting the use of data for decision-making; • At least 10 years of experience supporting government health initiatives and / or working with DFID, European Union, USAID, KfW, World Bank, and other development partners; • Excellent written and spoken English, local languages are a distinct advantage; and • Advanced degree/s in relevant disciplines preferred.
