Futures Group has deep expertise in policy and advocacy, research and strategic information, health markets and private sector engagement, modeling and economic analysis, patient monitoring and management/HMIS, strategic consulting, and program management.

Position Summary

We are looking for an outstanding and experienced Team Leader in Pakistan to work on new and potential programs on reproductive, maternal, and child health, family planning, social marketing and other forms of private sector engagement, health systems strengthening, gender, research, health administration, public health, and/or related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides senior leadership, management oversight, and coordination for new and potential Pakistan programs.
• Provides senior-level content knowledge, technical assistance, consultation, and support for the development, execution, and monitoring of program-specific strategies. • Manages technical and operational staff and coordinates with implementing partners. • Liaises with donors, the government, and other key stakeholders. • Leads, reviews, and monitors programmatic functions, e.g., development of work plans and budgets. • Ensures quality of services and compliance per donor and program requirements. • Provides analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, consider, and resolve issues or problems. • Participates in development of and/or prepares necessary program-related reports, presentations, and deliverables.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of experience of leading large-scale government or DFID, European Union, USAID, KfW, World Bank, and other development partner supported health programmes; • Demonstrated experience working at the highest levels with government, private sector, and nongovernmental health sector partners across Pakistan, at national and decentralised levels; • Deep understanding of health market dynamics and the health system in Pakistan and ability to draw on other regional and/or international best practices; • Strong technical grasp of one or more of the following: reproductive health services, maternal and child health, total market approaches, social marketing and other forms of private sector engagement, health systems strengthening, social development, gender and other social determinants of poor health, especially in relation to poor women and girls, research, health administration, public health, related sectors that affect health, and/or reaching underserved populations, such as rural women, youth, and the poor; • Excellent strategic, analytical, personnel, problem solving, and project management skills; • Strong results orientation and commitment to accountability and value for money; • Demonstrates strong personal qualities, including integrity, commitment to excellence, equality, openness, inclusiveness, and collegiality; • Excellent written and spoken English is a must, local languages are an advantage; • Excellent public speaking and representation skills; and • Advanced degree in relevant discipline preferred.
