IT Specialist Nigeria

Primary point of contact for IT service levels and issues
Responsible for Security and audit compliance & actions
Address all IT issues for the location with the help of team & individually
Own level of IT service quality and Service Delivery performance
Monitor and manage service delivery performance of Subcontractor/third parties
Maintain service to contract, (SLAs, dates and performance measures)
Recommendations for areas of changes that can improve IT service, lower costs or improve customer satisfaction
Responsible for Alert notification explanation/clarification to customer and IBM Global Process Services personnel (i.e. Executives and support personnel)
Communicate service interruption, root cause analysis, action plans, capacity/performance trend analysis and issues to agreed IBM/business contacts
Provide/manage continuous improvement of all services provided and identify alternatives/options to these services.
Support accurate asset management accounting and control
Provide timely and accurate Internal reporting
Ensure that IMACs and Service Requests are actioned in line with contract commitments

Technical Skills
1 AV & Patch Management - Centralized Antivirus & Patch Management
2 VMWare & Linux(Virtualization) - Vitalization concepts, VMWare implementations, management, etc.
3 Communication Skills - Good at verbal & written communications
4 Client Relationship - Positive attitude & understand the client requirements & deliver accordingly
5 Process Knowledge - ITIL concepts in Incident & Change Management process
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 2 years experience in Server Knowledge - Windows 2003/2008 Implementation and administration of ADS, DNS, DHCP, File Server, FTP, Group Policy Management, Windows Scripts
  • At least 2 years experience in Backup and Restoration - Veritas, NT Backups, SAN/NAS, IBM Tape Library management
  • At least 2 years experience in Mailing Solutions - Lotus Domino Administration and End User support
  • English: Fluent

Preferred
  • At least 3 years experience in Server Knowledge - Windows 2003/2008 Implementation and administration of ADS, DNS, DHCP, File Server, FTP, Group Policy Management, Windows Scripts
  • At least 3 years experience in Backup and Restoration - Veritas, NT Backups, SAN/NAS, IBM Tape Library management
  • At least 3 years experience in Mailing Solutions - Lotus Domino Administration and End User support
