Legal Counsel , Bank for International Settlements

The Bank for International Settlements is a global forum for monetary and financial cooperation and a bank for central banks.

The BIS seeks a Legal Counsel to join its small team of lawyers in Basel. You will draft and negotiate contracts, as well as advise on a wide range of issues, in areas such as banking operations and the provision of banking and investment services to central banks.

We would like to meet candidates with a university degree in law followed by at least five years of professional experience at a major law firm, financial institution or international organisation. You will have extensive knowledge of financial law, ideally in a common law country. Working experience in Asia would be an advantage. Excellent communication and drafting skills in English are essential.
