Manager, Fundraising and Events Special Olympics Asia Pacific Regional Office

Special Olympics Asia Pacific Regional Office in Singapore currently seeks a dynamic Manager, Fundraising and Events who will become part of an active Communications and Development team. Special Olympics International (SOI) is a global non-governmental organization based in Washington, DC that is committed to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and to opening the minds of all people to the gifts and talents of these athletes.
The fundraising and events manager will provide organizational support for corporate and individual fundraising initiatives, events management, and World Games guest relations. S/he will develop and execute one annual signature fundraising event designed to raise visibility of Special Olympics and sustainable funds for SOAP regional office activities and develop and execute two-to-three annual awareness-raising events designed to generate public interest in Special Olympics and garner exposure to: media, individual donors and prospects, corporate partners and prospects, and volunteers. This individual will also be responsible for the expansion and stewardship of existing corporate relationships, conducting research to identify corporate partnership prospects for both funding and volunteer potential; preparing solicitation proposals and packages; and developing an individual donor stewardship plan to target high end donors.
This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in fundraising and event management, marketing, client and donor relations with demonstrated ability to identify and develop sponsorship opportunities, build relationships with corporate donors and diverse audiences internally and externally. Proactive working style, excellent written and oral communications skills and strong organizational skills, ability multi-task, and keen eye for details are essential. Must be willing to work and travel independently. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and a relevant university degree are also required. Candidates with Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident highly desired.
