Salary Range: $125,000-$165,000.

The US government, through the MCC, signed a five-year, $362 million agreement (compact) with the Government of Lesotho designed to reduce poverty through economic growth.

MCC is recruiting a Resident Country Director (DRCD), based in Lesotho, who will be responsible for facilitating and providing oversight to a large-scale program focused on water, private sector development and health. As an official U.S. Government employee, the RCD represents MCC and the U.S. Government and must collaborate closely with Lesotho government officials, civil society, private sector, and local communities to help achieve program results.

Minimum qualifications include: U.S. Citizenship, ten years of relevant work experience in developing or transitioning countries managing, designing and implementing large-scale infrastructure and/or technical assistance programs, and senior management-level experience in the private sector, a development organization such as World Bank, an international NGO, an international commercial bank, or the U.S. Foreign Service, (including the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service, USAID or similar international development agency).
