Job mission

•Design and architecture of strategic IT transformation initiatives throughout the company by considering the business requirements.
•Participate in problem anticipation, and problem solving on an internal enterprise level across Operations.
•Manage multiple change management initiatives with significant scope and complexity.
•Identify, validate, and communicate business opportunities and solutions. Utilise knowledge of customers and products to analyse business problem(s) and determine the IT enablers to extract value.

KPA duties

•Maintenance and development of an integrated 3-5 year group-wide IT Architecture roadmap with the rest of the architecture team.
•Development of MTN Group IT architecture standards
•Application of industry best practice
•Advisory relationships with OpCo`s
•Identification, assessment and communication of next generation IT Architecture Trends
•Development of relationships with strategic IT vendors.
•Drive improvement efforts based on analysis.
•To develop MTN Group architecture standards to align with Business requirements
•Integrate identified best practise to ensure consistent and efficient business/IT integration
•To guide the operating companies on IT Architecture to align with the group strategy.
•To track IT Architecture trends and innovations and assess their applicability for the MTN Group.
•Liaise with multiple business stakeholders at MTN Group and within the operating companies to align technology architectures
•Liase with strategic IT vendors to develop shared long-term roadmaps

Educational requirements

BSc Information Systems / Computer Science / relevant degree / or experience.

Experience required

•2-3 years IT operational support experience.
•3-5 years IT supervisory and management of design teams.
•Project and programme management experience.
•GSM telco and experience.
•Experience in a multi-national Group (preferred).
