Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to (i) teach undergraduate courses in Elements of Photogrammetry, Digital Photogrammetry, Digital Image Processing and any other substantive areas as determined by the Department of Civil Engineering; (ii) supervise student research projects and thesis at both undergraduate and graduate levels; (iii) conduct research in their area of expertise; (iv) provide service to the community; (v) carry out any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department. Requirements: Lecturer: The successful candidate must have: (i) a Masters’ Degree in Photogrammetry, Image Processing or related fields; (ii) a Bachelors Degree in Geomatics Engineering or a related discipline with at least a 2(i) pass and an overall aggregate not less than 65%; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service; and (iv) teaching experience at a university or comparable institution and demonstration of effective academic leadership will be added advantages. Senior Lecturer: Applicants should have: (i) a Masters’ Degree in Photogrammetry or related fields; (ii) a Bachelors Degree in Geomatics Engineeering or a related discipline with at least a 2(i) pass and an overall aggregate not less than 65%; (iii) ) a minimum of three (3) years teaching experience at a University or comparable institution; (iv) have a good and sustained record of research and publications with at least 6 publications, 4 of which are peer reviewed journal articles; (v) lead and/or single author in at least 2 refereed journal articles or book chapters; (vi) applicants should demonstrate evidence of service (v) demonstration of effective academic leadership will be an added advantage; (vi) Applicants should clearly state their areas of teaching and research experience. Associate Professor: Candidates should have: (i) a Masters degree in Photogrammetry or related fields; (ii) a Bachelors Degree in Geomatics Engineering or related discipline with at least a 2(i) pass and an overall aggregate not less than 65%; (iii) a minimum of five (5) years teaching experience at a University or comparable institution; (iv) at least 12 publications, 8 of which should be refereed journal articles; lead and/or single authored in at least 6 refereed journal articles or book chapters; (v) Evidence of effective academic leadership; (vi) evidence of service to the University, the Profession and the Community; (vii) ability to attract research grants will be an added advantage; (viii) Applicants should clearly state their areas of teaching and research experience.
