Program Director, ACDI/VOCA

Program Director, Washington, DC

We are currently seeking a Program Director for USAID-funded Agricultural Commercialization & Innovation (AC&I) Activity. The project’s primary focus will be to promote new approaches to food security through innovative partnerships that improve market access for food-insecure households in Feed the Future countries. The AC&I Activity will have four components: (1) agricultural technology commercialization, (2) partnership development, (3) investment design and modeling, and (4) knowledge management.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for overall program management, including administrative, financial and personnel management.
  • Provide technical leadership, oversight and support to all aspects of the program as listed above.
  • Lead and/or participate in strategic and high-level policy forums and meetings with USAID and all other counterparts to exchange information and develop professional relationships.
  • Supervise all personnel and consultants.
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of all deliverables, including work plans, quarterly reports and other USAID reporting deliverables.


Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in agricultural and/or agriculture-enterprise development, including marketing, sourcing, financing and agricultural value chain management is required.
  • A master’s degree in a discipline relevant to partnership development and technology commercialization is required.
  • Prior experience working in emerging markets and at least five years of experience as a Program Director for a similar program.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships with businesses and international donors.
