If this is you…


You will need:
• Grade 10 numeracy and literacy or equivalent at NQF level
• A Government Certificate of Competency
• A Mining Certificate for non-mining supervisors/Engineering Certificate for non-engineering supervisors
• Logistics experience with 3 years’ relevant mining experience
• A valid Code 08 driver’s licence
• English language proficiency
• Basic computer literacy
• A Medical Certificate of Fitness
• A Blasting Certificate and Onsetters Certificate.

You will be required to:
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety management systems and standards
• Liaise with the Logistics Coordinator on operations on maintenance activities
• Oversee budget expenditure
• Stop the operation if working conditions are unsafe
• Ensure asset protection
• Ensure maintenance of equipment and infrastructure in area of responsibility
• Plan processes and procedures in liaison with supplier and customer areas and the logistics teams
• Assist during breakdowns or emergencies
• Monitor contractor work
• Monitor and advise on the operation of machinery to optimise performance
• Adhere to housekeeping requirements
• Ensure that technical data is captured on the appropriate system
• Identify and support employees for further training and development
• Conduct disciplinary and grievance inquiries of employee
• Assess employee competency
• Compile work schedules to ensure adequate workforce per shift.
