Technical Associate, Design/Print & Motion

We seek qualified candidates for the position of Technical Associate, Design-Print and Motion, in Washington, DC.
Position Description:
The Associate Print and Motion Designer will support the Design 360 team on a range of print and multi-media projects to include: designing motion graphics, publications, logos, brochures, training curricula, information graphics, and web-based communications. These products will be part of FHI 360's work in areas as health, education, civil society, environment, economic development, and research.
Position Requirements:
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelors preferred;
2 year(s) of relevant experience required;
  • Must have a background in print and motion design, demonstrate an advanced sense of typography and adeptness with information design;
  • Must have good balance of conceptualization and production knowledge;
  • Must have a solid understanding design principles supported by a strong concept-driven portfolio;
  • Basic knowledge of design software such Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe AfterEffects;
  • Working knowledge of Dreamweaver, Flash, Premiere, Final Cut or other video editing software;
  • Fluency in HTML and CSS, and familiarity with HTML5, mobile website creation, and usability issues;
  • Illustration, photography, 3D modeling, and experience with creating materials for diverse audiences is considered an advantage.
