To assist supervisor in conducting field experiments of breeding and research populations and seed multiplication of promising advances lines for submergence breeding program

Duties

• Assist in the preparation, sowing, maintenance and harvesting of field trials including F2 populations, pedigree nursery, and submergence/stagnant flooding trials for the submergence breeding program
• Harvest, thresh, and clean seeds
• Retrieve and prepare seeds and name tags for breeding lines
• Assist in data collection for agronomic and other traits during the season
• Maintain optimum water level in submergence trials
• Assist in setting up greenhouse for developing populations using single seed decent
• Follow up requests of the breeder/researcher and perform other related duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualification requirements

• High school graduate
• Two (2) years relevant experience
