International Programmes Manager World Jewish Relief London

World Jewish Relief, the UK Jewish Community’s leading international humanitarian and development agency, is recruiting an International Programmes Manager, in order to strengthen the impact, outcome and accountability of its international grants in line with its Corporate Strategy 2011 - 2016. The Programmes Manager will take responsibility for a broad range of programmes and partnerships that WJR either currently or is planning to support in Ukraine, though with potentially a broader geographical focus, to drive forward the quality of WJR’s programming and partnerships in order to address significant poverty and vulnerability amongst its recipient clients.

Job Purpose:

• Programme management: To identify new and manage, monitor and grow existing WJR programmes that meet the immediate needs of communities we support and livelihood development programmes within the specified geographical area ensuring best practice is adhered to at every stage to reduce vulnerability and eradicate poverty from our target group.

• International partnerships: To identify and manage a range of partnerships to ensure the impact and effectiveness of WJR’s grant allocations are clear, demonstrable and measurable, and that the highest levels of accountability upwards and downwards are achieved.

• Grant and donor management: To collate accurate, timely and appropriate information in order to lead and/or assist with the development and management of institutional or other donor funding opportunities and reporting.

• Humanitarian response: To support as required, WJR’s response to major international disasters elsewhere in the world, ensuring resources raised are utilised effectively to respond to unmet need.
