The PhD Program Health Science is a newly developed interdisciplinary educational program of the University of Basel initiated by the Institute of Nursing Science (INS), Institute of Exercise and Health Science (ISSW), Swiss Tropical- and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), and the European Center of Pharmaceutical Medicine (ECPM). This program was initiated to further strengthen the incipient PhD programs of the Faculty of Medicine. An investment in the educational infrastructure of the multidisciplinary field of Health Sciences aims to offer PhD students a structured and broad education in their field of research. To assist the challenging task of a successful implementation and organization of the PhD Program Health Science, we seek a PhD Program Coordinator with PhD and/or research experience in health science, statistics, epidemiology and related fields. Your Challenges Responsible for the coordination of the overall PhD program infrastructure and administration Support of the Program directorate regarding conceptual aspects Compile a web-based catalogue/platform of training offers in the field of health science and interesting transferable skills Guidance and support of PhD students, supervisors and stakeholders Initiation of thematic training by summer courses and interdisciplinary research seminars

Your Strength Academic education with research experience, preferably a PhD in health sciences, or related fields Familiar with the health sciences network and the respective training needs Interest in higher education development is desirable Excellent organizational and management skills Excellent communicator and team player Fluent in English and in German Good knowledge of standard software, databases and preferably web-publishing Flexibility is a plus Our Offers Diversified position on the interface of research, academic education and project management Modern and diverse infrastructure Outstanding and interdisciplinary teams and collaborators Workplace in the heart of Basel Flexible working hours Are you interested?
