Barrick Kanowna has a strong presence in the Eastern-Goldfields of Western Australia centred around the city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The operations process 2 million tonnes of refractory and free milling ore per annum from open pit projects (commencing early 2009) and three underground mines. Barrick Kanowna is one of the leading employers in the Goldfields and has a large exploration lease holding in the region.

Position Objective

We are seeking experienced Bogger Operators to carry out loading and dumping from development and production areas to haulage trucks and allocated stockpiles and perform other tasks as directed.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Prepare areas for Bogging;

· Tele-remote Bogging from open stopes & development areas;

· Tram material to & from stockpiles;

· Loading Trucks;

· Assist with road works and other earth moving work;

· Assist tradespersons with mechanical repairs, services or modifications to equipment;

· Assist with the installation of ground support as directed;

· Carry out other tasks as directed.

Experience & Requirements

· Experience in efficient loader operation, Elphinstone 2900/1700 would be advantageous. More than five years bogging is also favourable;

· Experience in underground hard rock mining techniques;

· Basic mechanical knowledge;

· Demonstrated application of safe working procedures and inspection techniques;

· Understanding of relevant sections of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations;

· A team oriented approach is essential.

This is a residential role based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia
