Supervisor Quality Control/Assurance II (Lab)

Key performance areas:

  • control the batch review and release process for saleable products
  • control the quality aspect of credit goods for resale and rejection
  • ensure proper retention of batch related documentation and samples
  • handle the quality related aspects of customers/supplier complaints
  • authorise the use of packaging processes and packaging artwork for local and export use
  • order all laboratory consumables and other requirements
  • supervise all incoming raw material testing and packaging material verification and release on SAP
  • supervise and organise the blending laboratory and testing as well as the micro laboratory and testing
  • equipment calibration as per all system standards within the organisation
  • ensure all relevant paperwork is filled in and signed off by relevant employees
  • act on any bad trends in terms of raw material, packaging material, micro and blend results
  • weekly/monthly quality reports
  • investigate customer complaints and ensure feedback within 48 hours
  • manage subordinates and all HR related functions in conjunction with Direct Managers
  • perform a function for both factories on the Wadeville site
  • ad hoc tasks.

Requirements:

  • 4 years’ experience in the FMCG Industry
  • MS Office is a requirement, SAP will be an added advantage
  • National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology/Food Technology/Biochemistry.
