Adviser Payment Systems - EACB - European Association of Co-operative banks

The adviser will report to the Head of Department Retail banking, Payments and Financial Markets. His or her portfolio will comprise the following tasks:

•  Monitoring of legislative (Commission), self regulatory (EPC, European Banking Association and other) and supervisory (ECB, European Banking Authority) initiatives affecting the payments business of EACB members
•  Monitoring market developments relevant to allow the formulation of position papers
•  Drafting of position papers, discussion papers and briefing notes
•  Establishment and maintenance of relevant networks with officials of the European Commission/European Parliament/Council/ECB and with Members of the European Parliament
•  The organisation of the meetings of the Payment Systems Working group
•  The Animation of the Payment Systems Working Group
•  Liaison with EACB members on Payment Systems
•  Supporting the Head of Unit in the representation of the interests of member organisations in meetings and lobbying towards EU Institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, Council, ECB, EBA, and other relevant bodies), the European Payments Council (EPC) and the SEPA Council.
