Job Description

  • Position will be responsible for supervising/managing/overseeing the following departments:  Accounting and Purchasing.
  • Plan, direct, and manage the process of producing accurate, timely, and objective financial data from which informed management decisions can be made.
  • Ensure hotel is in compliance with all Omni Hotels accounting procedures and that hotel exceeds in all internal and external audits.
  • Actively involved in yield management and revenue enhancement.
  • Responsible for Purchasing Department.  Review leases, contracts, agreements, subcontracts and license from accounting perspective.
  • Provide leadership to the departments to achieve their goals and objectives.  Clear concise written and verbal communications skills.  Create courteous, friendly professional work environment.  Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Requires a minimum of 7 years experience as a Director of Finance in a 4-diamond hotel.
  • Approximate full time staff under this position: 7 associates
  • Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality: 340 +rooms
  • Position is responsible for a budget approximating: 8 million.
  • Must have expertise in all areas of Accounting from A/P, A/R, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, General Ledger, Credit, Collections, Audit, Inventory control, Payroll, Budgeting, Costing, P&L Preparation and Analysis.
