Department

Bristol is host to two thriving BBC Vision genres. It is the UK headquarters of the Features genre, and the home of the BBC's Natural History Unit.

Features productions range from Countryfile to the Antiques Roadshow, from Bargain Hunt to Nigel Slater.

The Natural History Unit is the world leader, creating output from Frozen Planet to Springwatch, from Andy's Wild Adventures to the Natural World.

Arts and Documentary genre output is also produced in Bristol, from Timeshift to Protecting Our Children.

Role

As the Runner for BBC Bristol you’ll provide accurate, effective and timely support to the production teams in the office and on location.

You’ll handle correspondence, maintain contributor databases, coordinate mail-out of publicity material, research as well as prepare for filming on location and the set-up of these locations.

Requirements

You will have experience and an understanding of logistical requirements for television production as well as the importance of handling confidential information sensitively.

The successful candidates will possess good working knowledge of IT Packages along with strong time management, prioritisation and relationship building skills.

Runners are often required to drive and so candidates will need to hold a valid driving license and be over 23 for BBC Insurance purposes.
