Global News Planning is a multi-media team which plans and co-ordinates international and domestic news coverage for BBC World News and World Service News and World Online.

Role

As a senior broadcast journalist, you will be required to produce news and long-form content on international stories including features and special coverage for series and seasons for broadcast across Global News. You'll plan, coordinate and rollout TV, radio and online content primarily focused on Global outlets – in Global News Languages that includes for example Arabic, Persian, Mundo, Russian, Chinese and Swahili - and for English that includes BBC World News, World Service Radio and the News website

Requirements

You'll need an excellent knowledge of international affairs with significant experience of broadcast production techniques.  Field experience would be an advantage.  A good understanding of the output, both Global News English and Languages, and also domestic news and partners and some experience of budgeting would also be an advantage.  You will need the ability to learn to use new technology.
