Senior IT Developer / IT Head (MVC Framework, Ruby, Web Applications) in Zurich
On behalf of our international client, Swisslinx is looking for an experienced Senior IT Developer / IT Head, to work for an IT Consultancy company, who is market leaders in their core business sector.
The position will involve 80% managing an IT team of 10 people and within this role you will he responsible for hiring, evaluating and coaching team members. You will also be working closely with the product department to plan and prioritize the IT projects as well as managing the IT projects and tasks of the IT team.
The other 20% will entail hands on development using customer facing web applications, MVC frameworks, Ruby and JavaScript. The role will involve IT landscape, architecture and developing roadmaps.
Desired Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you must have the ability to interact with other stakeholders of the company and manage the IT team. You need to have experience in customer facing web applications, experience in MVC framework and Ruby experience as well as JavaScript.
Working knowledge of database systems, preferably PostgreSQL, would be ideal.
This position is a management position however you will still need to develop and would need to produce some code samples at the interview stage.
The working language is in English. Willingness to learn German is appreciated.
Permanent position based inZurich,Switzerland.
