About the role
As the Senior Projects Manager Business Development for our Middle East & Europe Region you will be our key business winner. Based in London you will work closely with the Regional Director, Country Directors, and Project Managers to generate income by writing complex project proposals and managing the business development process through to handover to a project implementation team. The role involves conducting desk research as well as visiting countries to investigate possibilities for project development. An important aspect of this will be building relationships with potential partners and funders. You will assess calls for proposals and tenders from international development actors such as the European Union, USAID and DFID.
About you
You will bring a demonstrable ability to write and manage the preparation of complex donor proposals for tight submission dates. This will partly be shown by your proven track record in raising funds from institutional donors, and from your overall experience in engaging with international donors. Importantly, you will also show experience of financial management and an ability to write and understand budgets. Along with your experience of the media sector you should have experience in the development sector. You will have strong editorial judgement with an understanding of how social media and mobiles can be used in development.
