People & Culture Manager, WV Response To Syrian Refugee Crisis

World Vision (WV) is actively providing assistance to refugees in Jordan, working both in host communities and a large refugee camp to provide child protection and water and sanitation services to keep children healthy. Our initial target is to assist 100,000 people in Jordan.

The People & Culture (P&C) Manager will be a strategic partner to the Syria Response leadership in all areas of Human Resources, known as People & Culture(P&C) at World Vision, in order that the strategic goals of the organisation are achieved across the network. The P&C Manager will work closely with the Response Manager and Sector Leads in planning and implementing response initiatives and act as a key contact in all areas of P&C.

SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 
  • Oversee daily P&C Management within the Syria Response.
  • Ensure P&C policies, procedures and WV standards are communicated and implemented throughout the Syria Response
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of people programs, policies and procedures and make recommendations to the Response Manager & Sector Leads
  • Conduct Hay job evaluation processes for new and changed roles using an appropriate internal/external method/system
  • Responsible for implementation of approved and budgeted training needs, capacity building and succession planning within the Syria Response.

REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, BA or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in generalist P&C role at a managerial level
  • P&C qualification
  • Experience in implementing P&C strategy
  • Working in an Emergency setting
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft application skills (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management practices and employment related legislation
