Learning and Research Technology has recently brought together application support and development for learning, student and research systems innovating the way in which staff and students interact with their information, teaching resources and research resources throughout the academic life cycle, delivering improved student and staff experience.
Learning and Research Technology is seeking to appoint a Senior Applications Development Officer. The post-holder will be responsible for developing, integrating and maintaining a range of student, curriculum, learning and research system. In the next 12 months, LRT is undertaking a number of major development projects that included implementing a data warehouse (MS SQL, SharePoint and Analytics), Moodle 2.4 (including Mahara 1.6 and new assessment and feedback) and web services (C#, .net 3.5). Candidates will have substantial experience of application development using C# and .net. Previous experience in the higher education sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
