| Job Description: | Core Purpose:
The production of accurate high quality plans, tracings and drawings of buildings, rail signals, rail perway, rail electrical, layout and installations from sketches, plans or other information using computer aided drawing equipment, specifically AUTOCAD and REVIT. This includes the amendment, annotations and any similar work associated with such plans, drawings, 2D and 3D renderings.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric
Autocad Certificate
Drivers License Essential
Revit experience compulsory
4 years proven experience in design drawings of electrical and electronic building services.
Proficient in AutoCAD
Rail exposure would be an advantage
Key Responsibility Areas:
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
· The production of high quality plans
· Dealing appropriately with the electronic receipt of plan for other CAD users
· The production of high quality drawings and work for Power Point presentations, charts, notices, posters, forms etc.
· The completion and maintenance of computer (CAD) back-up systems and general computer housekeeping duties
· The completion and maintenance of records relating to plan work
· To occasionally accompany a Technician/Senior Technician/Engineer on an inspection of a large and complex building (major project), in order to quickly facilitate the production of relevant plans or drawings
· To attend user group meetings and other formal or informal training sessions to assist in the training of other CAD users and when required to assist in the development and use of new technology to produce drawings and graphics
· Such other associated duties commensurate with the grade of the post, as may be allocated by the Project Director or Project Leader.
