FIELD OFFICER

Minimum required knowledge & experience:
 University Degree or diploma (preferably in health related discipline)
 4 years work experience in a similar field
 Very good knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English
 Very good computer skills (MS Office)
 Very good communication skills
 Good analytical skills
 Valid Driving Licence
 Good knowledge of Ar-Rweishid area , locations and hospitals
Standard function description:
 Assists with the implementation of the ICRC activities in Eastern (and Central) Jordanian borders with Syria;
 Assists with the implementation of the ICRC health activities with Ar-Rweishid Hospital and other hospitals.
 Initiates and maintains contacts with appropriate interlocutors at the authority level.
 Support the Health Delegate in ordering, supervision & monitoring of ICRC medical supplies. Responsible for taking and the writing reports as requested by the health unit (minutes of meetings, weekly operation reports, monthly statistical reports, etc.)
 Handles petty cash and working advances.
 When deemed required, facilitate the work of other ICRC departments under the supervision of the Health Delegate.
JOB DESCRIPTION
 Assists the Health Delegate with the implementation of the activities in the Eastern (and Central) Jordanian borders with Syria;
• Relationship building with interlocutors
• Arranges meetings for Health Delegate and ICRC health department staff
• Accompanies the Health Delegate and ICRC health department staff to meetings
• Accompanies the Health Delegate and ICRC health department staff in the field trips/ visits to the refugees reception and collection points at the boarders
• Records and writes up minutes of meetings
• Acts as an interpreter for the Health Delegate and other ICRC staff when required.
• When appropriate, represents the ICRC health department staff for meetings
• In coordination with the logistics department and (health delegate) facilitate , and monitors the distribution of ICRC medical supplies to the health posts decided by the Health Department.
• Monitors and reports on health related issues relevant to the activities of the ICRC health department
• Gathers and compiles appropriate statistics
• Support the health delegate to monitor situation of refugees arriving to Jordan in terms of Protection.
• Handles petty cash related to work issues and settling cash against bills according to ICRC financial rules
• Assists the Health Delegate/ Health Staff whenever required and where appropriate
• Responsible for arranging transportation and liaising with ICRC AMM fleet
• Contributes to the formulation of strategies to address identified issues
• Contributes to department /project/program reporting and administration
• Undertakes any other task related delegations objectives, upon the request of health department
